A junior inductee into Phi Beta Kappa, Jill matriculated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine after three years at Iowa State University where she participated in Marching Band and tutored for the Athletic Department.

With over 25 years of experience, Brody started her career as an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and trained ophthalmology residents and medical students. She left in 1998 and founded McDonough Eye Associates in Macomb, IL and brought corneal transplants for the first time to West Central Illinois.

In addition to improving the eye health of McDonough County, IL, she has been on the YMCA Board of Directors, the St. Paul Church Building Committee and a strong vocal advocate of gender equality in the local school district.

Brody is a native Iowan hailing from Waterloo. Currently she lives in Macomb, IL with her husband Bill Lambert and has two daughters, Zoe, a senior at Iowa State University and Mia, a junior at Augustana College.
