Dallas, Texas Attorney, Partner Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell B.S. History, Iowa State University, 1976 Tom grew up on a farm near the small town of Mt. Union in southeast Iowa. Following his graduation from Iowa State, he attended the University of Michigan School of Law and obtained a juris doctorate degree in 1979. Tom is an attorney at Locke Lord LLP in Dallas, Texas, and he has been a shareholder/partner in the firm since 1987. His practice focuses on commercial litigation in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels. Tom is active in his church and in bar association activities, and is a member of the board of directors of Dallas Academy, a K-12 school devoted to children with learning disabilities. While at Iowa State he was a GSB senator, a residence hall assistant, a member of the Institute of National Affairs, co-chair of Residence Hall Week, and a member of Cardinal Key. Tom has served as a member of the Iowa State LAS Dean’s Advisory Council since 2004, and he has been a member of the Order of the Knoll since 2005. As a member of the ISUAA Board of Directors, he has served on the Awards Review and Selection Committee. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children: Robert, an accountant in Austin, Texas; and Michael, a photographer in Dallas.
