The role of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council is to assist the College in achieving its mission of preparing students to become knowledgeable, contributing citizens in a world of diverse cultures. Its primary responsibilities are to engage in informed discussions about issues at the intersection of higher education and the broader society and to provide recommendations about enhancing the College’s reputation as a world-class learning and research community.
The Council is composed of more than 30 successful alumni and friends of the College with diverse backgrounds, a breadth of experience, and knowledge of the landscape of higher education. The Dean’s Advisory Council meets on campus twice each year, once in the fall and once in the spring.
