Suzanne Verma is a certified clinical Anaplastologist in private practice, specializing in facial prosthetic restoration for patients who have lost part of their anatomy due to cancer, trauma, or congenital origin. Suzanne worked as faculty with the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas providing facial prosthetic services and teaching in the dental and post doctorate curriculums for 17 years. Her clinical experiences include University of Nebraska Medical Center, The Maxillofacial Unit of Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales, UK, and Institute or Reconstructive Sciences in Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Her research interests on which she lectures nationally and internationally include Applications of navigational surgery in extra oral implant placement and Incorporations of advanced technology in craniofacial reconstruction. Suzanne is past Vice President of the Board for Certification in Clinical Anaplastology and Past President of the International Anaplastology Association.
While at Iowa State, Suzanne was an active member of the campus community, part of President Martin Jischke’s Leadership Council, cheering on our Cyclones as a member of the ISU Pom Squad, ISU Study Abroad in Rome, Italy, and a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
In 2015, Suzanne received the Iowa State University Outstanding Young Alumna Award. She has served on the Integrated Studio Arts Advisory Council, BPMI Advisory Group, and is a new member of the Iowa State LAS Dean’s Advisory Council. She and her husband have three daughters.
